RSFP Sous Chef

Position Summary:

The RSFP Sous Chef is the right hand of the Head Chef and the RSFP Chef, Interns Supervisor, whom they replace in their absence. The RSFP Sous Chef organizes and oversees food preparation, assigns tasks to kitchen staff under their supervision, and performs food processing and preparation duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and plating dishes
  • Supervising colleagues and interns, assigning them tasks
  • Ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly in the absence of the Head Chef and RSFP Chef, Interns Supervisor
  • Assisting the chefs in the creation and design of menus
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with RSFP's core principles, such as sustainability and sourcing of ingredients, food waste reduction, composting, etc.
  • Proposing and creating new dishes
  • Supporting the chefs in purchasing and storing food supplies

Work Environment:

  • The position is a full-time (40 hours per week) position based in Rome
  • The RSFP Sous Chef is expected to have a degree of flexibility to ensure a constant workflow.
  • Work shifts may be during the day or in the evening. 8 hours per day plus a half-hour break from Monday to Friday.
  • Although a schedule will be established in line with the Academy's needs, please note that, for extraordinary reasons, changes may occur and will be communicated by the Head Chef with prior notice

 Compensation & Benefits:

  • An Italian determined contract will be offered under the CCNL Commercio at level 4, with an annual gross salary ranging from €26,000 to €28,000, with some flexibility based on experience
